Directions to Hale Akua (Shangri-la) Garden Farm

From Kahului Airport, turn left on 36, Hana Highway.
You will be staying on Hana Highway the entire time, until
you get to our road. Proceed through the town of Paia. Look at the mile markers. Mile marker 16 marks the junction of 365 (junction 365 is also known as Kaupakalua Road which runs from Makawao town all the way to Hana Highway). STAY ON HANA HIGHWAY. But at that junction 365, the zero/0 mile marker begins a new mile marker sequence.

Now look for the 3 mile marker. After the 3 mile marker, take the second left. You will see a turn-out on the Ocean side with a row of mailboxes, a pay phone, & bus shelter.. That is our road. It’s called “Door of Faith” Road (but the sign is sometimes not there). Turn left at this road, toward the ocean.

Continue down the hill until the paved road ends. There is a round mirror on a pole on the right side, at the first real corner. Sign says “Slow 15 mph”. Turn LEFT here.

Proceed about ¼ mile. Look on your right and see a small wooden sign with the number 100 painted on it in green.
That is not our driveway. We are the next driveway on the right. There is a white sign just past our driveway that says “Slow please: children.” You will see a tall, solid wooden fence covering half the entrance with two lights on top and a security sign, next to a gravel driveway.

Turn right into our driveway, going straight all the way into
our parking lot. You will see the sign “Office” on a green building. Come to the office and look at the bulletin board for instructions how to find a manager, (if no one is in the office),
or how to find your class room.
